But what was it about this little city\, nestled at the banks of two major rivers\, that allowed it to become both a gathering place and a gateway – a city of contradictions?\n\nBased on newspaper accounts\, first-person interviews\, and photos and documents from the NCHGS archives\, join us to visit the sites of some of the most notorious brothels\, breweries\, and back-alley speakeasies in Easton’s unforgettable history.\n\n“From Spirits to Speakeasies” is offered on the fourth Friday of the month.
